RINGWOOD – Area families are encouraged to explore and learn at a Lost Valley Venture at the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park.

Lost Valley Ventures will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. each Saturday at the park, west of the intersection of Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood.

The program includes a nature lesson, game and activity based around the theme of the month. October’s theme is fall color.

Weather permitting, those attending will go for a short outdoor exploratory hike with staff, so dress for the weather and for walking.

No registration is required and all ages are welcome. The program is intended for families and cannot accommodate organized groups, said Lora Petra, community relations specialist for MCCD.
